Does Noom Work with MyFitnessPal?
MyFitnessPal does not sync with Noom, so you can’t log your calories there and have them automatically feed in — or vice versa. It’s unclear why, especially when you consider MyFitnessPal has the largest database of foods, which would help Noom provide a more reliable service to international customers, where more often than not calorific information for branded items are incorrect and require manual input.
It’s not just calorific information that can’t be exchanged. You can’t even link them to transfer weight or exercise data — not officially, anyway. There is a slight workaround for this information, though: You can set Apple Health to pull weight and exercise data from MyFitnessPal, then configure Noom to pull this information from Apple Health, essentially using it as an intermediary to fit a square object into a circle-shaped hole.
But we’ve tried and we’ve tried and there’s no way to pass the food information through. Our advice? Try to go all-in on Noom, so you can try to squeeze as much out of it as you can. If you really can’t deal with the calorie-tracking there, then switch to something you’re more comfortable with like MyFitnessPal. Just ensure you’ve got it set up to mirror the calorie targets outlined in Noom as that’s your north star here.
