Is Noom Free? A Look at the Different Subscriptions Available
You can use all of the features Noom has to offer without paying, but only for two weeks. That’s because there’s a Noom free trial for new customers. You will need to cancel your Noom subscription before the renewal date though as you will be transitioned to a paid membership at the end of the trial.
We have heard some stories of customers reaching out to their Noom Trainer at the end of the two-week trial period and explaining how they’re still on the fence and would like a little longer before handing over some cash, and were offered an additional two-week extension, managing to use Noom for a month for free.
Here’s everything you need to know about the memberships on offer, including how much Noom costs, what the cheapest Noom price you can bag today is and whether you can use Noom without a subscription (and what’s included in the free subscription should you choose to use that at the end of the trial).
How Much Does Noom Cost?
If you choose to continue with your subscription and transition to a paid plan, you’ll be enrolled in a monthly auto-renewing plan for $59 per month. Like all rolling memberships, this isn’t the most cost effective way to use Noom. Decide to lock in for a little longer and you can save yourself a whole heap of cash.
Noom regularly holds flash sales on its fixed-period memberships. We’ve highlighted all of the offers happening now below, but considering Noom is a lifestyle change that’ll help you lose weight and maintain it we recommend taking advantage of the annual offer that nets you 12 months access for $199 — a total discount of $509.
- Monthly Auto-Renewing Plan — $59
- 2 Month Auto-Renewing Plan — $99
- 3 Month Auto-Renewing Plan — $129
- 4 Month Auto-Renewing Plan — $139
- 5 Month Auto-Renewing Plan — $149
- 6 Month Auto-Renewing Plan — $159
- 7 Month Auto-Renewing Plan — $169
- 8 Month Auto-Renewing Plan — $179
- Annual Auto-Renewing Plan — $199
Alternatively, you can get a cut-price membership by playing hard to get. Cancel your membership or trial and Noom will reach out asking you to renew it. Don’t bite the bullet right away, though — ignore the email/notification and wait for the next one. It will most definitely bring a fairly substantial discount with it.
Some users have also reported receiving substantial discounts while canceling their membership via Noom Support or their Noom Personal Coach, with one claiming to have received the Monthly Auto-Renewing Plan for as little as $20 per month. This is one of those situations where you can barter and playing hard to get works.
Can You Use Noom for Free?
If you don’t want to continue with a paid Noom subscription though you won’t be shut it entirely: Noom offers a suite of free features, including calorie and exercise tracking. You will still be able to use it on your Apple Watch too. However, you will lose access to the Noom Personal Coach mentoring service and all new (and existing) articles.
You can take steps to keep your articles if you’re going to cancel your Noom subscription. Some users screenshot them all so they can reference them at a later date, but this only solves one part of the problem — there’s still nothing you can do to receive new articles that unlock the further you get into the program.
Noom Membership FAQs
You’re here because you want to learn about your Noom membership and what’s included in the free version, and what’s not, so we thought we’d answer some other questions you may have about your subscription right here on this very page, so you don’t have to jump around, from website to website, in search of answers.
Is Noom Free?
Noom is free to use but with a limited set of features: It’ll function as a calorie tracker and can also be used to log exercise, but does not offer access to the Noom Personal Coach mentoring service and new (and existing) articles. Noom wasn’t built to be a calorie tracker though, so we wouldn’t recommend only using it for that.
How Much Does Noom Cost Monthly?
Choose to opt for a Noom subscription and you’ll need to hand over $59 per month. You can however lock in for a longer period of time which will save you some cash. For example, an annual membership will set you back $199, which backs out to $17 per month — although it does have to be paid upfront.
How Much Does a Year of Noom Cost?
Noom costs $59 a month, or $199 a year. This breaks down to a little less than $17 a month. Work that out over the course of the year and compare it to the cost of the standard Monthly Renewing Plan and you’re saving an astonishing $691 by handing over the cash for an Annual Auto-Renewing Plan in one go.
Does Noom Automatically Renew?
Noom does automatically renew. This applies to both trial memberships and existing paid memberships. If you’re on a trial, you’ll be converted to a monthly auto-renewing plan at $59 per month, while those already locked into an existing subscription will see that same subscription renew at the end of the period.
If you wan’t to eliminate the risk of Noom renewing at the end of the trial in case you forget to cancel it later, you can actually cancel your membership it as soon as you enter into the trial — Noom will still let you access your account and use all of the features as usual through the end of the trial. It just won’t renew at the end.
Can You Use Noom Without a Subscription?
You can use Noom without a subscription. You just won’t have access to the Noom Personal Coach mentoring program, nor will you be able to access the articles that have become a staple of the Noom membership or participate in quizzes. You will still be able to track calories, weight and exercise, though.
What is the Cheapest Noom Price?
Noom works out cheapest when you take out an annual subscription. This costs $199 upfront, but works out to just $16 per month. Now consider the fact that a monthly rolling subscription costs $59 and you’re saving $509 per year by signing up for the fixed term, and that’s the cheapest Noom price currently available.
